Minutes of the 26th Annual General Meeting held at Village Hall, Trearddur Bay

on Friday 17th May 2024

The Chairman - Bill Hulme welcomed 45 members to the meeting.

Fire Evacuation Procedure

Alan Boutall gave details specific to the Village Hall explaining fire evacuation procedure. The importance for entrance registration was emphasised, in order to have an accurate record of people present.

Minutes of the 25th Annual General Meeting Friday 19th May 2023 were unanimously accepted and signed by the Chair.

Chairman’s Report - Thanks to Ann Pollitt and Barbara Hulme for their support and service.  He welcomed new members, special thanks to all on the programme committee. Thanks to Rob, Allan and Tim for setting up the media for each meeting. Thanks to Bill Winter for maintaining the website and thanks to Peter Wilson who will be taking it over.

Ann Pollitt and Barbara Hulme are standing down as Social Secretaries and Rachel Johnson has agreed to become new Social  Secretary.

As Bill is standing down as Chair he welcomed the new committee members.

Treasurers Annual Report and Accounts for year ending 31st March 2024 -

Denise presented the final accounts with funds of £4,627.65p at the bank.

Assets worth £5,639.82p.

To confirm the Annual subscription for 2024/2025 remains at £6.

Membership Secretary Report - There are 149 paid up members and an average of  55-65 at weekly meetings.

She pointed out that some members just join to go on the walks, country dancing and mah jong.

Election of Candidates for Committee -

Denise Giorgi - Chair

Alan Boutall - Vice Chair

Margaret Felton - Treasurer

Chrissie Mead - Secretary

Gillian Slinn - Membership Secretary

Rachel Johnson – Social Secretary

Gloria Lynas – Group Coordinator

All committee members were voted in unanimously.

The following members stood for election as Committee Members and were voted in unanimously -

Mavis Allitt, Allan Norris, Robert Phillips, Tim O’Brien, Bill Hulme, Anne Henderson.

                               27th A.G.M. will be held on 16th May 2025.
